Results of research on the stability of mine workings, fixed by arched supports made of composite materials, in the conditions of the Pokrovske Mine Administration

Abstract The paper provides a detailed analysis of innovative technologies for maintaining mine workings at great depths. possibility using composite materials (in particular, carbonfiber-reinforced plastic) as fastening elements is special attention. It has been conducted comparative the physical-mechanical properties carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and low-alloy steel, traditionally used manufacture frame support. To conduct stress-strain state, series models developed computer modelling performed by finite element method Ansys Mechanical software product. In mining-geological conditions Pokrovske Mine Administration, three types supports, namely, basic, with variable section constant section, have studied. initial boundary conditions, well assumptions idealization model, substantiated. A stress intensity confirms advantage proposed supports made in terms limiting zones maximum values. Laboratory research, on 3D-printer, testifies to adequacy modelling. reliability obtained values makes it possible recommend an support conducting experiment.
